Instructor: Kathy Humm

Kathy Humm is a seasoned HR professional with 17 years of experience. She founded NTP HR (Notice to Proceed with HR Solutions) in 2022 to help elevate human resources from transactional to strategic in the construction and manufacture space. The labor market shortage, overhead costs, government regulations, and employee retention are challenges for companies to remain competitive.
Kathy has spent 12 years in the construction industry and understands what it takes to move the needle from transactional to strategic HR. As a consultant, she collaborates with company leaders to elevate their people, vision, and culture. Kathy is the vice chair of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Metro Washington Chapter. She also served on the board of directors for the ABC Metro Washington CraftMasters Training Trust. In addition, Kathy has taught Human Capital Management for the Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Leadership graduate program at UMBC.
