Heavy Equipment Operator Training, 9 Different Modules

Classes are scheduled for Monday and Wednesday evenings, February 5th – March 4th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.

In this course, you will use two CM Labs heavy equipment simulators alongside instructor-led lectures and exercises. This combination equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to start operating heavy equipment. We focus on safety and daily maintenance checks, ensuring participants can maximize the efficiency of their machines.

Throughout the course, participants will learn about Articulating End Dump, Rubber Tire Loaders and Backhoes, Dozers, Excavators, and Motor Graders. These modules are crafted to provide new operators with essential safety knowledge and machine understanding, allowing them to refine their skills on the job. Additionally, the course enhances the proficiency of any operator, contributing to a safer and more skilled workforce.

This class is perfect for those with prior experience operating heavy machinery and individuals aiming to advance their careers, transitioning from skilled labor positions to becoming operator trainees.

Module 1 – Safety; February 5th
This module introduces the trainee to the basic terminology and equipment used in the heavy equipment trade.

Module 2 – Simulator 101; February 7th
This module introduces the trainee to basic safety pertaining to the construction industry heavy equipment; includes hands-on/simulator seat time.

End Dump Operator Training – February 12th
Wheel Loader Operator Training – February 14th
Backhoe Operator Training – February 19th
Dozer Operator Training – February 21st
Excavator Operator Training – February 26th
Motor Grader Operator Training – February 28th
Advanced Simulator Training – March 4th
