Introduction to Microsoft Project

Managing time, tasks, people and resources effectively can make the difference between success and failure when completing a complex project.  In this Introduction to Microsoft Project Getting Started class, students spend time getting comfortable with the MS Project user interface, including project views and the ribbon.  They will also learn to enter, organize and link tasks, work with resources, and create projects independently.  The course allows time to practice fundamental basic skills essential for efficient use of this program.

Each attendee should have a laptop/PC for training and have MS Project 2016, 2019 or Microsoft Project Online Desktop Client installed prior to the training. 

Instructor Bio:
Thomas G. Patton
Tom is founder of the Project Management Service Bureau of Arlington, Virginia. Established in 1988, the firm provides construction planning consulting, training, Lean Construction support to project-oriented organizations nationwide.

Associated projects include DC Metro subway stations, Federal and State highway projects, airport infrastructure, commercial building projects, and several projects at the Pentagon, including the ultra-fast track “Phoenix” project following the 9/11 attacks. Tom has taught program and project management as an Associate Professorial Lecturer in the School of Engineering Management, George Washington University.
