Door & Hardware Installer Course (5 night course)

Welcome to ABC’s new door and hardware installer training class sponsored by Bunting Door and Hardware Co., Inc. This course will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

This course will meet for 5 nights on January 24 & 26 from 5 to 7pm
and Jan 31, February 2 & 7 from  1 to 3 pm.

Course Description:
This hands-on course covers all basic aspects of commercial door and frame installation. This is a true beginner’s course designed to give you the tools to be able to install knock down and welded metal door frames, hang solid core wood and hollow metal doors, install a basic door hardware package and learn door and hardware troubleshooting tactics. In addition, industry standards and codes for hardware installation will be covered.

Performance Tasks:

1. Setting a knocked down drywall frame
2. Setting a welded hollow metal frame
3. Hanging a wood door
4. Hanging a metal door
5. Installing a cylindrical lock
6. Installing a door closer and adjusting

Outcomes:
By the time the participant finishes the program they will have a well-rounded understanding of commercial doors and hardware and how to install the types of doors used in most commercial and multi-tenant construction.
