Course Overview:
This Maryland State Plumbing Board Approved ASSE course is designed for Journeyman and Master Plumbers to complete their 32-Hour Backflow Recertification training. This course is a prerequisite for the Journey/Master Plumber examination and focuses on backflow prevention and testing procedures.
What You’ll Learn:
- Principles of Backflow & Prevention
- Backflow Prevention Assembly: Application and operation
- Field Testing Procedures for all backflow prevention assemblies
- Hands-on Practice in the wet lab setting
Recertification for Testers:
- Mandatory Recertification Every 3 Years to maintain your Backflow/Cross Connection Tester certification.
- Recertification Topics:
- New developments in Cross Connection Control
- Review of backflow prevention and field-testing procedures
- PVB, DCVA, and RP test procedures with practical wet lab practice
Requirements:
- Eligibility: Must hold a valid Journeyman or Master Maryland State Plumbing License.
- Registration: Email a copy of your license to Bonnie Mattox for registration to be processed

- Passing grade on the final written exam and successful completion of hands-on performance will result in certification
