March 18 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
FreeMaryland is preparing to launch a new paid family and medical leave program! Starting July 1, 2026, workers will receive job protection and be able to take time away from work to care for themselves or a family member and still be paid up to $1,000 a week for up to 12 weeks. When a worker needs to take leave, either the State or a private plan will pay the worker a portion of their salary.
We plan to discuss:
- PFML Key Dates
- PFML Program Features and Funding
- Private Plan Requirements and Considerations
- Integrations with existing Short-Term Disability
