Construction 101

This class will be on May 20 & 27 (Wednesdays) from 1 – 5 pm.

Gain a better understanding of the construction industry and how ‘things work.’  Learn key terminology, industry standards, size & diversity.   This two-session course is designed for:

  • Administrative Professionals
  • Bookkeepers
  • Assistant Project Managers
  • Communications/Marketing Professionals
  • Business Development/Sales Professionals

This course will leave attendees with a base knowledge of how a construction project or process is handled from start to completion.  Students will learn how construction firms are organized and gain a basic understanding on key concepts such as blueprint reading, contracts, change orders, submittals, progress schedules and experience the estimating and bidding process.
